Taney Youth Baseball Association

Founded in 1994, Taney Youth Baseball Association provides an opportunity for over 750 boys and girls ages 3 to 15 to play baseball and softball in downtown Philadelphia.  Taney Baseball is more than just learning how to play the game.  It's also about learning how to play on a team and have fun doing it.

As an instructional league, baseball fundamentals, good sportsmanship and teamwork over competition and wins and losses are emphasized.  

Games and practices take place at Taney (Markward) Recreation Center at Taney & Pine Streets (near 26th & Pine); Shot Tower Recreation Center at Front & Carpenter Street; Palumbo Recreation Center at 10th & Fitzwater Streets; Columbus Square Recreation Center at 12th & Wharton Streets; Starr Garden Recreation Center at 6th & Lombard Street, Sacks Recreation Center at 4th & Washington Streets, and Clemente Recreation Center at 18th & Wallace Streets.
